Many characters capable of being displayed on the Macintosh will not show up correctly or do not exist on other platforms. While many of these special characters (such as diacritical marks, etc.) can be represented using HTML Entity codes, others have no HTML method of displaying them.
The table consists of two columns, the left column the single character to be replaced, the right column the replacement text. It helps to be a little inventive here, for example, substituting "(R)" for "®". Note that bulleted lists can be best represented using the HTML Bulleted List command, found under the HyperText menu.
Create a selection of text in the editor, then choose the Table Convert command. All instances of the "search for:" character in the selection will be replaced by the replacement text.
